ZAGREB, Croatia (AP) — Mikaela Shiffrin will be back in the women’s World Cup on Tuesday, eight days after announcing she tested positive for recent times and was ruled out of two technical races in Austria last week.

Shiffrin tested negative on Monday afternoon before the American’s name appeared on the race’s official start list, which was released by the international ski Federation.

“See you tomorrow, Zagreb,” Shiffrin wrote on Instagram.

Shiffrin, who has won the race four times, will wear the starting number 7. The first round starts at 12:30 local time (11:30 GMT), the second round at 16: 05 (15: 05 GMT), and this course is set by Shiffrin’s trainer Mike Day.

However, Shiffrin’s US teammate Nina O’Brien is among a group of riders who missed Tuesday’s race as the recent times affects the women’s circuit more and more, less than five weeks before the Beijing Olympics.

The group eliminated for Tuesday’s race also includes at least three Swiss skiers – Camille Rast, Aline Danioth and Mélanie Meillard-as well as two Austrians, a Norwegian and an Italian.

One of the Austrians, Franziska Gritsch, said in November that it was her “personal decision” not to get vaccinated against the recent times. She was not eligible until Nov. 27-28 Tech race in Killington, Vermont, for that reason.

Shiffrin missed a giant slalom and a slalom in Lienz last week, but remains at the top of the overall World Cup standings with a lead of 93 points over Sofia Goggia. The Italian speed specialist, who has not competed in slalom for five years, is not found in Croatia.

Petra Vlhova, who is Shiffrin’s main rival in slalom, won the race in Austria last week and extended her lead over the American in the discipline standings to 120 points after four of nine races.

Vlhova, who opens the slalom on Tuesday, has won the illuminated race in Zagreb over the past two years.

The race on the outskirts of the Croatian capital, which is usually one of the most visited races on the women’s calendar, is not allowed by any spectator.
